Greetings Diddlers!

Last week saw some new faces, err, calls: WS7V and W6NF were tuning up for the NAQP. And N0KQ, WT2P, and K2AL were back in there getting their RTTY electrons warmed up. Pleased to work just about everyone this last weekend in the NAQP.

This next weekend appears to be downright empty. But, (and yes, I know this is not a RTTY event) there is a new Sprint: The SA Sprint. Two hours of moving around the bands with reckless abandon, similar to the NA Sprint. Well at least it’s got a QSY Rule! I hope we get a little boost in propagation and are able to work a few folks to the south. Never can have enough Sprinting.

If you’d like 30 minutes of the well known NA Sprint format on RTTY, please join us on Thursday evening.

Here’s the usual list of times, rules and extra notes for our usual Thursday soiree:

Friday, 22 July 2016, 0145Z - 0215Z (Thursday 21 July 2016 in NA
-- 1845 - 1915 PDT
-- 2145 - 2215 EDT
-- (others in-between those two)
-- 160: 1805 and up
-- 80/40/20/15 +80kHz up from the band edge (Don’t forget to check 15!)
-- Same band dupes ok after 1 intervening Q.
-- 1 kHz QSY rule, otherwise standard Sprint rules
-- Mults per band.
-- 100W power limit.

Please visit http://www.ncccsprint.com/rttyns.html for complete rules
and links to other info. If you find any problems with the web pages, please
let me know so we can get them fixed.

Report scores to 3830scores.com (please?), and join us at 0300Z on 3610 kHz
for comments and questions (and dinner menus).

Diddle diddle,

Ken K6MR
