It would be interesting if someone would run Andy's V47  logs using distance based scoring the year's he didn't win in CQWW CW. In a few of those years he actually had more QSO'S than the winner. I bet that would change the results.

Someone else also mentioned that ZF (zone 8) doesn't have a scoring advantage. That's not true. Not over zone 33 and 9, but the rest of the world Yes. They get 2 points for NA to NA QSO'S outside their country. The rest of the world gets 1 point those same intercontinental QSO'S. I bet if someone in EU had their log rescored to get the same points they would beat someone operating from ZF and maybe over another zone 8 country.
