Wanted to let every one know that Larry Weaver, N6TW, passed away on August
20.It is sad, but he is no longer experiencing the pain and frustration
Parkinsons' heaped up on him. He passed quite peacefully.

Larry had been active until about a year ago from Silverton, Oregon. His
previous calls include K9QZO and W6JPH.

I first bumped into Larry back in 1968 when I started checking into the
Southern California Net - the local NTS traffic net on 3600 kHz. He was
one of the net control stations (along with a handful of other contest
legends) and active in the CD Partys. He also operated as part of some
multi-operator contests at W6RW back in the 1960's.

Larry was heavily involved in the checking of CQ WW contest logs for
several decades. He was behind the scenes making contributions that helped
make the CQ WW one of the best checked contests for some time. Because of
his contributions - he was inducted into the CQ Contest Hall of Fame in
2010.

A tree planting ceremony and celebration of life will be held on October
29th at his home. He is survived by Madeline Osborne who holds his old
callsign K9QZO.
