Trent

I couldnt find that "no longer is permitted to alternate CQs on CW and then
SSB as a result of the new General Rules adopted by the ARRL"

In the general rules or in ARRL10 rules

http://www.arrl.org/general-rules-for-arrl-contests-below-30-mhz

http://www.arrl.org/10-meter

Always talk about "alternating CQs on two or more frequencies using the
same band and mode is prohibited", is prohibited alternate CQ on same mode,
so seems you can alternate CQ on SSB and CW
