Hers's another idea. Not requiring preregistration for those of us that
provide the "casual" contacts for those that finish in the top 5, but, when
it happens, value a certificate? I have binders full of certificates,
beginning with 1st KY Section in 1981 ARRL 10 meter contest, which had the
most influence on my contesting experiences.
Requiring a recording, especially with the possibility of finishing in the
top 5 being nothing more than wishful thinking, is not a trend I look
forward to! Let those of us that are NOT "in it to win it" enjoy, with out
such severe requirements?
