What contests use FT8? I have worked a lot of guys on RTTY that were sending
with a key and decoding using their transceiver so you do not really need
computer. Like CW and SSB, you can tune the band listening for stations and
you can transmit at any time.

Computer working computer also applies to RTTY, because you can't
decode the didle.

I've used FT8 in contests and it's basically just another mode.
