In shock at hearing this news.

Dave was a very good man and a friend for the last 45 years or more. I met
him when he attended John Brown University in my home town. He had just
developed an interest in contesting.

I spec'd and he designed an SO2R box for me in about 1975. Among other
features it had the option to automatically put the headphones on a second
T-4XB/R-4B when the clock was running on my Accu-Memory keyer and later
K9CW keyer. Along with that and a program he wrote for a Radio Shack color
computer to dupe logs (before NA or any computer logging), I felt like I
was the king of high tech because of his knowledge.

He honored me by choosing me as his Team Mate for the WRTC in 1996 in San
Francisco - a thrill and lasting good memory.

He was an inspiration.

Rest in Peace, Dave.
