It would be admittedly hard to prove an extra few hundred watts probably, but went I jumped to high power from low power, the first contest I did that on, a number of people wondered whether I had changed.  And I had.  So flagrantly, you can tell.  Incrementally, its probably hard.

I'm curious how contest sponsors would go about identifying power cheaters.

As stated so many times, when the CC are unable to address the
power cheating, the focus is turned into vague attempts of making it more
fair, by eliminating the cluster cheating.  The power cheating remains, and
this unfortunately even among those that qualify for WRTC, and should have
Fair Play in the DNA. Power cheating is the big issue and the one that CCs
stick their heads in the sand to avoid.

Fully agree with you Ed on Unassisted versus Assisted in WPX.  Does not
matter much.  The really boring would be if CQWW ended up in the same
direction.  As stated so many times, when the CC are unable to address the
