Bill - many general purpose logging programs (I happen to use DX Labs) provide LotW user indication automatically. They essentially regularly update LotW databases by using LotW APIs to pull the info down. They do the same for eQSL for those that follow that. JTalert does the same thing for WSJT-X and the digital modes.

If you use N1MM for your daily logging, you don't see that - but there are "bridges" available that will forward every QSO as you make it in N1MM to the general purpose logger and you can have that screen up while you contest if you like and see the LotW indication on the packet spotting screen and the log.
The "bridges" are usually free software - you can see the DXLabs/N1MM one here:  https://www.dxlabsuite.com/N1MM-DXKeeper/index.htm
