Not by default. FTx calls usually start by sending your call and grid, 
although some ops like to start by sending their signal report. The 
software will handle it either way, and I've seen some ops post on QRZ 
that they prefer the calling stations go right into the signal report as 
it takes one of the cycles out of the exchange, increasing speed.

One of the things in the back of my mind in the RTTY contest was that 
the caller who sends his report first may be trying to hijack my run 
frequency, making it look like I was calling him.

As far as leading with your call, aka KK9a de NJ6G NJ6G, in crowded 
conditions it helps to identify who exactly you're calling. I responded 
to a couple of CQs this past weekend only to have two stations come back 
to me. Neither of them realized the other was on freq. I had to then 
include the CQing station call sign to identify whose CQ I was 
responding to.
