[CQ-Contest] "Drafted" into SS

Put up a new inverted  V for 80 today and was trying it out on the low end of 80.  In the course of two hours I had quite a few callers, but 5 of them were notable.
After giving them their 579, 589, 599, they proceeded to give  me a SS exchange despite the fact I am a V31.  Do we have that many ops that don't know the rules?  I was quite surprised to have not one, but five of these guys call in.
