[CQ-Contest] CWT Virus has spread to ARRL 10M - WPX next?

A few months ago, after remotely opping OZ5W as part of a MM in the SAC CW and running into cut numbers in variable serial numbers, I reached out to the ARRL, WPX and CA QP test to recommend prohibiting cut numbers in non ST exchange fields.
Saw them quite a bit in the 10M ARRL this past weekend. I think CQ WPX CW is next big one with serial number - still time to avoid EE5E send dit  dah dit  dah dit    dit   dit   dit  dit  towards the end of the weekend...
The N1MM entry window parser will convert most of the letters if you type what you hear, but I'd rather see rates increase by higher speed at both end vs. shorter exchanges. Current rules vary about what happens if you do submit log with alpha characters in serial number field.
