Or "incorrect exchanges".
Apparently the "5NN" as a cut number for "Please copy" does not always work. I had 172 of my 640 raw QSOs "copy" me in Zone 4. Not in Zone 5 in Florida, where I did the contest.
I was QRP, which might have made things a bit tougher. However, I can notice a slight difference in timing when operating. The folks who change the prefilled "4" to "5" take a second or so to do that. I suspect most of the 172 who put me in zone 4 probably took a millisecond or two to confirm.

To all serious contesters:
I have no complaints. Overall I am pretty happy with my performance but am
wondering about the growing list of "incorrect calls" that I have this year.
I am always looking to improve.
I am 'about' where I am every big contest. 1.4% error and 4.7% score
reduction. I have seen it a little less, but this was a long test at nearly
3900 Q's
It's the list of 38 "incorrect calls" I have that I am curious about. I
mostly ran and was unassisted, so I need to work on copying calls
correctly(that much is obvious) . Some calls had more than one typo/error in
them but as the runner I sent these busted calls back to the caller and
nobody corrected me?!
Is this because they are not affected(score-wise) if I butcher their call?
(am I understanding that correctly?)
Anyone else seeing this trend?
Mike VE9AA (btw, I am not KE9AA, there are no VA9's, no 2x1 VE9 calls and
VE8AA is not a contester)
