Put the # sign in the exchange key (shift F2) as part of the exchange. 
  For example "5NN#" will send 5NN and the serial number when you hit the 
F2 key.  If you have two (or more) computers and radios on a network it 
will not send the same serial number twice.

Also, FYI, on CW to speed up or slow down part  of the F2 exchange message 
add + (plus) and/or - (minus) signs.   Each sign is two WPM speed.   So, if 
you are set for 30 WPM,     ++599----#    will send the 599 at 34 WPM and 
the serial number at 26 WPM.    Good luck!
