Many thanks to all who responded to my "mouse gone" problem.

A few notes.
When you install WIN'98 over WIN 3.1 (and WIN'95?) The DOS subdirectory and
commands remain intact, including the autoexec.bat and config.sys files.
I had a few problems upgrading from WIN 3.1 to '98 so I had to format the
hard drives and install it clean. ( this can be done with the WIN'98 upgrade
disk, you don't need to pay for the full version, but you will need your
original WIN disk)
When installed "clean", WIN'98 does not have a DOS subdirectory!! No DOS
files, but command.com!!
So as many suggested I will dig up a mouse.com and put it in my CT batch
file or in the now empty autoexec.bat file.

One fellow had a slick suggestion...he said that he opened CT in a DOS
window..arrainged the windows....shut down and ran CT in native DOS...wish I
had thot of that during the SS...
