Victor,

You didn't mention if it is a MKII or earlier 706, but here is my findings:

My 706MKII works fine under CT's settings for IC-735.  On the 706 u
must set the hex address setting to 4H.  I us mine with the CT-17 icom
interface and a laptop using serial port.  It polls and follows you band to
band and freq. accordingly.  Worked gud for my dxpedition to Hawaii.
