[ct-user] CT939 band control problem

No problem here on my FT-1000MP. So I'm going to use v9.39 in the contest
this weekend. However, it's always a VERY good idea to save the prior
version in another directory just in case. With each revision I first
rename the directory of the old one (this time the new name is CT9.37) then
make a new directory called "CT" then copy (not move) the contents of the
old directory into it. Then I update the new CT directory with the latest
download from the CT page. I have versions back to 9.27 each in separate
directories. In case anyone isn't doing this I thought I'd mention it.
Also -- for new CT users "CT Operating Aid" file is available for download
from my web site:
http://www.midtec.com/w0tm.htm (the "Operating" page)

I am not seeing the symptom on my 781. When I change bands with ALT F2,
VFO
A is written, them VFO B, then the 781 reports its band change, and the CT
changes the bandmap etc.

My configuration is to use COM2 for rig control and COM1 for TNC. Radio is
ICOM781.
Lets say I am on 40 and radio and CT are in agreement on this. If I enter
ALT-F2 to switch to 20 what happens is that the radio switches properly to
20, but the display in CT switches to 20, then back to 40, then back to 20
where it stays. Now if I enter ALT-F1 to switch back to 40 it properly
switches the radio to 40, but CT displays first 40, then 20, then back to
40. While this is occuring the band map follows the same pattern.
Surprisingly if instead of COM1 for TNC I use the DRSI interface instead,
then everything works, both the receiver and the indication of the band in
CT switches just once.
I do not use antenna switching from the parallel port, but I suspect that
if
I did it would also oscillate between the two bands, which would be quite a
nuisance.
I don't think this problem existed in revision 9.37 or 9.38.
