[ct-user] 9.44 broken -> Post CT 9.37 internal serial port support issue?

CT Users,
 
In response to the burning question about 9.44 on this issue, you will not
be pleased to hear it is broken - 9.44 beta and 9.44 final release.  Now you
have to shut down CT completely to recover (9.39/9.37 would allow you to
recover without shutting down).
