Not so.  Unless you boot directly to DOS (Real DOS Mode) you are still
interfacing with Win95/98.  If you don't think so, then 1) how does the DOS
Prompt maintain a resizable "window".  DOS does not have this ability,
therefore it must still be running in Win95/98, and 2) just take a look at
the DOS Prompt window Properties.  It is the same as running any DOS program
in Win95/98, minus the program path data.

If you are running CT without problems in Win95/98, God bless you.  You are
a far better person than most of us.  I used to be able to run earlier
versions of CT in Win95 but that was 1) before I was using rig control and
2) I was using  PK232 TNC.  Once I switched to the KAM+ I had problems with
the packet terminal.  It would not display all the data on screen, keeping 2
or 3 lines of data in the buffer until the next packet forced them out, but
keeping 2 or 3 lines of the new data in the buffer.  Under Win95 I was able
to overcome this by disabling the serial port profile in the System
Properties.  I can't do this in Win98 as it disables the profile in hardware
and actually resets the BIOS serial port configuration.

Bottom line is what works for you does not necessarily work for the
rest of us, so I think it is a little obnoxious of you to say "I wish
K1EA would remove them from his web page".  If you don't like it, just
like the radio, you can turn the dial and listen to something else.
In the meantime the rest of us can wallow in our lack of knowledge or
ability that only you have seemed to master.
