M/S or not, my point is unchanged... 

WPX says just that you send a "progressive 3 digit serial number starting
001".

If two guys get sent the same number, this is surely not going to put
anyone in danger of DQ and surely better than what happened this past
weekend where our numbers bounced all over the place with no apparent
control at all and surely not perfectly sequential or even progressive in
many cases.  Hell, I had to send a note to BJQ telling him I don't see how
he could check serial numbers that we sent because they were so screwed
up.  

I don't understand the hang up on making sure there are no duplicate
serial numbers sent.  It greatly simplifies everything.
