(Now subscribed with both work addresses. Oh for a GNU Mailman with an alias
feature! Thank goodness for formail dupe filtering!)

Hmm, some bad editing of my message erased the tidbit that my host has been
using TR and the rig interface with his FT1000 "forever", so instead of making
this important point I somehow gave the impression that the interface didn't
work with either logger. Sigh :-)

I've used CT "forever". I didn't enumerate all the simple mistakes I didn't
make to avoid insulting your intelligence or wearing you out with hundreds of
lines of text. If it had been something simple I wouldn't have bothered the
reflector. My theory is a dependence on RS232 signals in CT that is not
present with TR. Unfortunately when I hiked out Saturday afternoon I forgot to
take a kosher 25 to 9 pin adapter cable to try. I'll try to arrange to lend
him the cable and CT on a diskette and report back. Hmm, if I lend him a
breakout box too we can determine exactly which signal is involved if this is
the variable involved.

I have two Kenwood W1GEE interfaces with the above cables and the DOS system I
mentioned before and they work fine so this might make for a reasonably
controlled test (I'm pointing this out to avoid specifying the cables because I
haven't ohm'd them out, they're whatever Radioshack sells).
