Greetings again,

An update:

Loaded version 9.77 on the 2 20M computers, left 9.74 on the 2 15M computers
and brought them and the network up with the IARU contest .BIN file.
The TS940 tracking in Alt-J worked. Connected to packet with a comport on
the second 15M computer and noticed an network error message at the bottom
of the logging screen on all computers.

Loaded 9.77 on the 2 15M computers. Can now type a freq into the callsign
field and the TS930 with the PIEXX board will go to that frequency, but
Alt-J will not follow the movement of the VFO dial on the TS930.
There were no network error messages as noted above.

Loaded 9.77 on the 2 40M computers and added them to the network.

So far NO computer lockups in the last 8 hours..
Glad to see this version getting closer to "right"!
Sure wish now I had loaded version 9.77 prior to the IARU contest!
5 more computers to load..

Wonder if this revision addresses the problem with the WPX serial numbers
also or is it still out there?

Take care

Subject: Version 9.74

Greetings,

I upgraded 11 computers to Ver 9.74 just prior to the IARU Contest.

The setup

160 1 computer, 1 radio controlled FT1000MP Not much of a problem with this
band

 80 2 computers, 2 radios both controlled FT1000M5 and FT1000
 40 2 computers, 2 radios both controlled FT1000MP and FT1000
 20 2 computers, 1 radio FT1000MP (no control of the TS940)
 15 2 computers, 1 radio FT1000 (no control of the TS930 e/w Piexx board)
 10 2 computers, 2 radios FT1000 and FT990

The computers are hooked together with a coaxial LAN. The second 15M
position
(TS930 with no radio control) was used to run RF packet into the network.
Network uses K1TTT's nettsr to emulate com4.

Had continual computer lockups until one of the computers on each band was
turned off or radio control was taken away from both positions.

Whenever there were 2 computers on a band and EITHER radio had computer
control invoked on a band, the computers would lock up.

Sure makes operation difficult!!
Is there a fix?

Take care
