[Fourlanders] Contest Update

Gentlemen, We have major news about the contest.

Neal K4EA has a detached retina and won't be able to participate in the
contest.  The doctors said he found it early and the prognosis is very
good.  He will have surgery on his eye tomorrow morning at Emory.  Keep
Neal in your thoughts for his speedy recovery.  

After much discussion among the band captains and the club officers, we
have decided that we need to go as limited multi this time.  K4SZ will
take over as 6m band captain and bring the 6m station and get it
set-up.  We will not have the microwave equipment on the mountain this
time.  That disappoints some of us, but we have to be realistic with
what we'll be able to set-up and have enough operators to do.  Still
don't have a final count on ops, but I have contact requests out to
several folks who may come with us and should know soon.  Steve K4RF and
Ryan W4RLW will unfortunately not be able to make it this time either.  

Anyone who is coming needs to let myself or Paul know ASAP about your
arrival and departure times from the site so that he can purchase the
necessary amount of food.  

Don't forget:  Anyone that is borrowing equipment that they expect
someone else to bring to them on the mountain, now would be a good time
to send an e-mail with the list as a reminder.

Looking forward to a great time on the mountain with good food and
drink, good weather, good company and good propagation.  Just don't
remind me that it's tropo time when I don't have the cm gear.
