[Fourlanders] What to Do?

Since I am going to the International DX Convention in Visalia this
year, I will not be attending the VHF conference. So I vote for a
meeting at Dick's house. I will be gone from April 13 to 20. So that
weekend is out for me.

As I see it there are a couple of things that can be done. First, Dick,

K5AND has graciously agreed to host a lunch time meeting at his QTH in
Cumming. Knowing Dick, the food will be better than anything at
Applebee's.
The second option is to have a meeting at the upcoming Southeastern VHF
Conference in Charlotte. The conference itself has a rather full
schedule
but a Thursday (April 28th) night dinner meeting might be possible. I
plan
to be at the hotel by 6 myself. One advantage of this is we would
probably
get a larger group than usual since several of the TN and NC contingent
will
be there. Either way, it will be up to someone else to organize the
meeting, send out the meeting notice, find a place to eat, etc. It is a
lot
of work and I have already done one.

I think the hospitality suite idea is a great one and I am glad we have
someone in the group like Bob who is thinking of things like that. Bob,
put
me down to help support the hospitality suite. Maybe I can get Dick to
give
me his Margarita recipe and we can fill the "sacred vessel" for everyone
to
enjoy. That's all I have for now.
