[Fourlanders] grounding

In the past few years we have driven in a few 2 to 3 foot long ground rods.
Typically, one at the generator and one at Brian's trailer. In the past,
when the 6m station was separate, I had a ground rod right outside the tent.
I think it had some positive effects.

A "permanent" ground would be problematic even if Glen were to give us
permission. It would have to be very near the trailers and installed in
such a way the when we are not there it would not cause any problems for
other campers.

Kim, do you have any suggestions on how we could do this?

The subject of grounding has been mentioned here.
Since I've done a lot of it (my job!), here's my 2 cents.

To try and ground on a temporary basis won't be worth the effort
unless we strike "gold". "Gold" being good soil conditions. Given
the location, we would have to be lucky.

On the other hand, if this site would be something we would be
using for a while, with the property owner's permission, we could
put down a permanent ground. This would be buried, and
something we would use while contesting.

My 2 cents. Just depends upon how much we think we need a
ground.
