We have always had some noise in that direction.  I don't recall it being
that bad though.  There is no electrical service on the mountain and we are
so high the offending power pole or poles could be in Maggie Valley.  It
will be hard to track it down I think but you are welcome to give it a try.

I just thought of a problem, and I'll take the lead to resolve it.

Power line noise.  Pointing the 6m beam due east was just useless.

Does anybody know the utility that serves the area?
