[Fourlanders] Soft Rock SDR radios

Yeah, I think if I was going to do an SDR receiver I would give my buddies
at RFSpace some business and buy an SDR-IQ. I have heard of the high sierra
microwave guys but don't know much about them. What was your experience
with them? I think that Steve has his hands full now with just keeping the
higher frequency stuff going. Now that just about every radio made has 6
meters I wouldn't be surprised if he doesn't drop the 6 meter stuff. I have
a 6 meter DEMI transverter that I never use now and should probably sell.

Hi Jim,
Yes, the website for the softrock is terrible. Your best bet is to
subscribe to the yahoo group. It is very active. With limited time here a
kit wasn't the best option for me. I bought a SDR-IQ. I have the trial of
cwskimmer but just haven't got it working well yet. I ordered a frequency
convertor from www.hsmicrowave.com so I can monitor 6 meters with the
SDR-IQ. Seems all of DEMI's 6 meter stuff have been awaiting redesign
forever. I didn't need transmit.
