Hello Larry. Let me be the first one to welcome you onto our email
reflector. You will find us to be a good but somewhat odd bunch. You have
to be to call CQ into a dead 6 meter band for hours on end like I just did
during Field Day this past weekend. Anyway, the next opportunity for a trip
to Soco Bald in NC will be September 11 - 14 for the ARRL September VHF QSO
Party. There will be plenty of chatter here on the reflector about that as
the date gets closer. There was some talk about getting together at W4ZST's
place near Dahlonega for the CQWW VHF Contest July 18 - 19 but I will let
Bob jump in and give the details if he decides he wants to do that. It is
just a 6 and 2 meter affair but even if the bands aren't open there are
usually plenty of toys around to play with, beer to drink and stories to be
told. It sounds like you have a nice setup on 6 and 2 at the home QTH so if
you want to get on with me or any of the other guys just let us know when
would be a good day and time for you.

It doesn't matter how beautiful your theory is, it doesn't matter how smart
you are. If it doesn't agree with experiment, it's wrong.

Hey Guys, I have been in contact with Brian NX9O and would like to hear from
you on 6 meters or 2 meters USB. I hope to be joining the Fourlanders club
soon.
I have a Icom 756 pro III and a Cushcraft 617-6B 6 ele. on a 34' boom @ 105'
my 2 meter is a Icom 271A and a RF Concepts 170w brick and a Cushcraft 17B2
17 ele. on a 31' boom. Both are feed with 7/8" hardline.

I have always wanted to get up on a mountain top during a VHF/UHF contest
and see how many contacts and grid squares I could work.
But I have never did that yet.
I look forward to hearing from all.

73 for now,
Larry de-W4LES
