Sign me up for 6 meters as usual.  I will be glad to bring the 2000 or we can
use your 920.  I assume that we will use your commander again but I am open on
that also.  Just let me know what you would like to do.  Put me down for all of
the meals and I will also stay Saturday night.  I am off work for the next two
weeks so if you need help with antennas just let me know.  One final thing, I
was at home depot today and they have these really nice grey plastic 12 gallon
totes with the hinged lids like WW8RR uses.  They are $6.98 and I scored three
of them for packing stuff up for contesting.  If anyone is interested visit your
nearest home depot.

Subject: [Fourlanders] January VHF Sweepstakes

The Fourlanders, W4NH, will do the January VHF Sweepstakes contest from
the W4ZST QTH in Dahlonega again on January 22 and 23, 2010.  The
contest starts at 2PM on Saturday and runs until 11PM on Sunday evening.

Friends are invited to visit and operate with us for the contest.
Anyone needing directions, please let me know and I'll e-mail them to you.

As of right now, I expect the usual band captains to bring the VHF
stations and I am planning to set up the microwave gear again this year
and maybe we'll be able to make a Q!!  Be sure to let me know if you
plan to participate, band captains and operators (and observers!)

None of the antennas have been set up yet, but whenever I get any
respite in the weather, I will start on them.  It has been brutally cold
here on top of the hill so far.  I will call for help if I need it.

If anyone has suggestions for changes in the locations where each
station is set up in the shack, let me know and we'll try to
accommodate.  Or anything else you'd like to try including different
antenna tower locations, just let me know.  I am open to suggestion.

We will have Saturday dinner and Sunday breakfast, lunch and dinner
planned.  Either Jeff or I will do something.  We didn't lack for food
last January, as usual.  I will send out a food sign up list closer to
the contest.

There will be room for several ops to spend the night Saturday night
like we have done before.  Just let me know if you want to stay over.

One thing we may need to do is figure out how to get 4 computer monitors
on our 6m station, like the pictures of W5ZN in the new Icom ads in QST
and CQ. Check them out.

Also check out the brick on the key in the Alpha ads in the Christmas
issues.  They finally found a use for 'it' besides being a doorstop!!!!

This should get things rolling.  Put the dates on your calendar and let
me know about participating.

73, Bob W4ZST
