I sort of agree. better margin for mech, and less of his time.
He will probably clear about 2x the labor charge 'selling' you a
reman'd xmission.
I suspect the solenoid is not quite as buried as you might think.
any racing shops near you? I bet thy could pop a replacement solenoid
into yours in about 2.5 hours.
