We have had to make changes to our usual contest plans for this
September contest. Due to conflicts and availability of operators we
have decided to do the contest from the W4ZST QTH in Dahlonega instead
of the usual trip to Mile High Campground in NC.

The antennas are already set up due to the work day yesterday. Thanks
to Scott NN4W, Ron WW8RR, Tom K4TJD, Brian NX9O, Jim W4KXY and myself,
Bob W4ZST we got the 2m beams, omni's and EME array up, the 222 beams,
the 432 beams and omni's and the microwave loopers up on the tower
trailers. All have been checked for picking up beacons and we have
transmitted on 6m and 222 for testing. Jim brought the usual 6m
computer to be used with the station for logging and FSK441 and went
over the set-up and operating procedures with me. The 6m antennas were
still up from the CQWW VHF contest in July and ready to go.

This will be an opportunity to make more 2m EME QSO's, to try and set a
new SE division multi-op record for the club and an excellent
opportunity for some of our local friends to see the contest set-up much
like we do it on the mountain top, but a little closer to home. We will
also be operating microwave which we had been cancelled for planned
mountain top trip.

Our friends are invited to visit with us to operate, just observe, eat
and socialize as you wish. Just let W4ZST at windstream.net know if you
need directions and if you wish to participate in any of the meals,
which will start with breakfast Saturday through dinner Sunday evening.
Jeff will be cooking and the typical meal rates are $3/$4/$5 for
breakfast/lunch/dinner respectively. I know we are having BBQ pork,
potato salad and slaw for dinner one evening. Other meals will be just
as impressive, as usual for the W_4_Never_Hungry contest group.

The contest starts at 2PM on Saturday, September 10 and ends at 11PM on
Sunday, September 11. The usual operating crew will be staying
overnight Saturday night at the W4ZST QTH. We will be doing some final
setting up on that Friday evening and Saturday morning and folks may
visit then too.

I look forward to seeing you here. 73, Bob W4ZST
