This was written with FD in mind, but has some great basic tips for 6M, 2M, 222 and 432 SSB/CW operations for folks just getting started:

Feel free to pass it along to all the local groups you know doing FD. 
 
 The VHF station at FD is an often over looked source of points.  The more local clubs with a strong 6/2 M setup, the more contact points we all get!
