Obit for K1FO below. I would like to make a motion that the Fourlanders
donate $100 to the ARRL in Steve's memory. We have pumped plenty of RF over
the years through his antennas and amplifiers so it is the least we can do.
We have more than sufficient funds ($833.67) in the treasury to cover the
donation. Do I have a second?

Steven Powlishen, 60, the husband of Lori (Cowan) Powilshen died on July
28, 2012 at CT Hospice after a struggle with cancer. Steve grew up on Oak
Street, East Hartford. He was the son of Steve and Olga Powilshen. He
graduated from WPI in 1974 with a degree in electrical engineering and
worked for Hamilton Standard, Leybold-Heraeus, and Anderson Labs. Steve
joined Hewlett Packard’s computer sales organization in 1982 calling on the
scientific and engineering customers. Steve was an avid Amateur Radio
Operator for more than 40 years, most recently holding the call sign K1FO.

are in use by hams worldwide. In 1994 he founded Lunar Systems devoting his
efforts to the design and production of high quality RF amplifiers. Using
antennas and amplifiers he designed and built himself, Steve communicated
with hundreds of other amateur stations by bouncing signals off the moon
(EME). He is survived by his wife Lori and his sister Stephanie and brother
