Hello all,
The Hooper Y-DNA project now has 34 participants from several different
family lines. We hope in time to add many more participants and many new
family lines. In order to acheive this goal there has been a new addition to
the project. A funding program has now been started. The fund will allow us
to locate and test many more Hooper family lines than before. Donors to the
fund have complete control over which family lines will be funded and tested.
More details are available at: <A HREF="http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.com/~hooperconnections/funding.html">

Since the fund is a new feature we haven't found any family lines thus far to
offer funding to. All Hooper lines anywhere in the world will be considered.
To be eligible the person taking the test must be a man with an unbroken male
line of Hooper ancestors. Though there are exceptions, in most cases you are
looking for a man with the last name Hooper.
If you are interested in receiving funding for your family line visit the
webpage above for more information. Then send an e-mail with details of your
Hooper family to any of the people listed as Committee members on the
webpage. If the donors choose you or your relative to participate then you
will receive a free 12 marker Y-DNA test. You will also have the option of
upgrading your test to the 25 marker test for $70. Read the information about
the different tests on the Hooper Connections website.
If you are interested in helping add new Hooper family lines to the study
then consider making a donation to the Hooper DNA fund. When you make a
donation you automatically become a voting member and will help decide which
Hooper family lines to pursue. Send your donations to:

I hope you'll consider nominating yourself or a relative for funding and make
a donation yourself.
Thank you very much for your attention.
