[Hooper] Obadiah Columbus Hooper b. April 7, 1804

In Hooper Genealogy, Vol. l1. it states "I have since received a copy 
of an old letter from an oil company written in 1934 concerning some 
acreage of land in East Texas which they were seeking to lease for 
drilling purposes and it names the children of Richard and Ibby Hooper, 
as heirs to the property; they were George Washington, Monroe, Jeff, 
Franklin,  Fate, Caroline, Betsy and Obadiah Columbus. In land records, 
Obediah C. Hooper First Arrived in Texas Apr 1837, he received a land 
grant of 1280 acres in Bowie County 20 Oct. 1843.  If he was an heir to 
Richard and Ibby's property in 1934, there must be someone who knows 
something about Obadiah Columbus Hooper and we would like to 
communicate with them.
