Hello All ~

Just to let you know, new Hooper DNA Participant, Freddie Hooper, has
results now posted on the Hooper DNA Table - Line 1-06.

Also, to remind anyone who may have taken the DNA Test - but has yet to
see their results posted on the Table - we need, in order to post:
1) a mini family tree from you - like those found on the DNA Table by
clicking on any Participant Number, and,
2) a note to me with permission to post the mini family tree and your
DNA results.

If you've taken the test and believe you've supplied this information to
me some time in the past, either:
1) I apologize for misplacing it - please send again, or,
2) I never got it in the first place - please send now.

I know we have several DNA Participants whose results are not posted yet
on the DNA Table - Please consider sending me the required information
to post so we can add you to our highly successful Hooper DNA Project!

Don't forget - the service we use, FTDNA (Family Tree DNA), is now
offering to upgrade test results up to 59 markers! The MORE markers you
have in common, the greater reliability for establishing your Genetic
Genealogical Connection to other Hoopers! Remember:
1) 12 markers do NOT "establish" a CERTAIN genetic connection.
2) 25 markers with 1 or less mutations (markers that are different)
WILL establish a certain genetic connection.
3) 37 markers with 4 or less mutations WILL establish a certain genetic
connection.
4) We're still waiting to see what the company says in regards to the
59 marker test that is now available. (Since FTDNA is backlogged
currently on the 59 marker test, they've upgraded the 3 tests I ordered
to 66 markers - so now might be the time you may wish to upgrade your
tests as well?!)

I would believe it relatively safe to say, that if you establish a
genetic connection with 25 markers or more - then there is no "going
back" on that connection. The more markers measured after those 25 - 37
will only "fine tune" the closeness in years of the connection. (I'm
not sure upgrading to the 59 markers will be all that beneficial, but
I'm stepping out now to do it and see what it shows - so stay tuned.)

I hope that all made sense and didn't muddy the waters for anyone.
However, please feel free to post any questions to the group or to write
email to Wade Glascock <WadeGlasck at aol.com> or myself for any further
clarification (or muddying! Haha!).

Best Regards to All ~ Clay
