Information:
Obadiah Hooper moved from Hanover to Lunenburg County before 1750  
where he was a tobacco and cotton farmer. He supported the American  
Revolution and he and six of his seven sons fought for the Patriots.  
After the war in 1785, Obadiah got land grants from South Carolina,  
96th. District. Most of the Obadiah Hooper family moved to Franklin  
County, Georgia by 1795. The history of Franklin County Georgia  
writes favorably about nine generations of Hoopers who have lived  
there and helped establish the county.
