[Hooper] Earliest Hoopers in Virginia

Could be ancestors of James Hooper -1756, Obadiah Hooper, Sr. -1803.  Anyone have any ideas how to trace these people or find out how and when they entered country?

Thomas Hooper first found in Charles City County VA 1635. Virginia Colonial Abstracts Series 2, Vol.4 James City County VA page 21 says that Thomas Hooper was  clerk in Proprietors office around 1689 in the Jamestown area.
Charles City County Order Book 1676-1679 shows William Hooper in Charles City County VA page 36 and 46. Probably son of Thomas above.
