Just S&P'd for a few minutes here and there between
yardwork. Too bad my son was visiting grandma. I
would have had him in there working the pileups.

All the kids did great. I never heard even one
of them get flustered, tongue tied, or panic. Heck, 
my first contests and QSO's I was as nervous as
a cat in a room full of rocking chairs. It was
really fun to listen to one kid work another
one. 

Favorite Story: Elissa telling the QSO before me:
"You're not old, you're as young as my grandpa!" 

Best Operator: Jason he was reeling them in and 
running them with the best of them.

Missed QSO: I never could break through the 
pileup to work Andrew at K5ZD. He was 7 and was
operating the radio for the first time. I was listening
for his first ever QSO -- what a pleasure. I could
hear who I presume to be Randy in the background
offering coaching and encouragement. You could hear
the pride in his voice.
