Hi!

This was our (Grandson Andrew,12 and Grandfather Rick VE4OV) first Kid's
Day and it was a blast! Congratulations to the Boring Oregon Amateur Radio
Club for your wisdom in starting and sponsoring this fun and gentle intro
to the World of Amateur Radio.

After a handful of on-the-air contacts, Andrew said. "OK, I'm ready to
write my Ham Exam now!" Yipe! From 0 to 60 mph in one afternoon. "Yes, but
Andrew, you'll have to STUDY for that", I said. "OK", he said. So it seems
that the pileups and the chaos in a 30 kHz chunk of the 20 Meter Band have
not deterred one Canadian Ham Wannabee. See you next year!

Here is our log for 19 June 1999, all times in UTC, all 20 Meter SSB.
