I spent an hour and a half of "Quality Time" with my daughter, working =
Kid's Day June 2000. This is our third Kid's Day, and it just keeps =
getting funner and funner. Our first two Kid's Days were spent on 10 =
meters, my Tech+ license dictating this. I made an effort to upgrade to =
General over a month ago, just with Kid's Day in mind. Of course, the =
ARRL license backlog problem has held up the posting of my new license =
class. But that didn't stop us! At first the "temporary AG" was a little =
strange to my 9 year old daughter, Kailey. But after a few contacts, she =
got used to it. All our contacts were made on 15 meters, we tried 20 =
meters a couple of times, but it was just too busy. The following is a =
list of the contacts made.=20
I'd just like to say Thanks to the Boring Amateur Radio Club for =
starting this whole thing, and the ARRL for picking up the ball. Or =
maybe it should be, picking up the "snowball", since this thing just =
seems to be getting bigger and bigger!
