Again, the afternoon of the CQ WW SSB 160 contest. The March meeting could be on the 21st and the April meeting on the 17, one week before Visalia. The International DX Convention is scheduled for 23, 24 and 25 of April at the Holiday Inn just east of Highway 99 on Highway 198 (Plaza dr turn-off). See scdxc.org for details. Registration is open for the convention.

(Except for April, those are sundays...)

Jan 24 is the BARTG (British) RTTY (4am, all day) Sprint, Feb 28 is the NAQP RTTY (10a-10p), Mar 20 is the BARTG Spring RTTY (48hr). It's not just 160.... those are pretty big events on the RTTY contest calendar - for example, I show 380 Qs for last years BARTG Sprint from a less than ideal QTH - from here, I would expect to do much better. Both the RTTY Sprint and the NAQP are contests I try to do every time - the Spring RTTY is disposable since it is not likely that I can do both that and the WPX phone the following weekend and get away with it.

This points out the problem of a contest club meeting during weekends - there is always a contest that somebody cares about.

OK, I'll ask it: what about a weeknight?

now running for cover - j
