[Mldxcc] K4VUD visit?? 2nd msg

I sent this email out on Saturday morning, January 15. To date I have 
received 4 replies.

I need to know if people are getting and reading reflector mail. I would 
also like to know if there is any interest, suggestions, questions, etc.

As of this morning, 1/19, at 11:30 AM, I have no more info than what is 
stated below.

In other news, January meeting of MLDX/CC is at the Ione Hotel on Main 
St. in Ione. Directions on MLDXCC web site.

Dues for 2005 are due!!

Al Burnham, K6RIM, emailed me this AM with a plan to bring Charlie
Harpole, K4VUD, VU3/HS0, etc. out to the SF Bay Area for a talk about
the VU4 DXpedition and the tsunami. Al would like to see this happen in
February while this is still current events. He has approached the
Redwood Empire DX Association with the idea. They are in favor, but feel
they would need financial help. So, Al is polling the various contest/DX
clubs.

Carolyn & I are just starting to work on the MLDX/CC budget for '05. Our
treasury, as it stands, is not able to fund such an endeavor. To do 'our
share', we would have to rely on donations from our membership. I would
guess that the more participation, the fewer individual $$ would be
needed. So, for now, the question is...would you be willing to
contribute a 'few' dollars to help?? Actual amount to be determined
later when air fare, meals, lodging & venue are determined.
