If you have both pieces of the control cable,
why not just splice them and move on?
I'm assuming the wires are each a different color so
you can match them.
Good luck and 73

Subject: [NCCC] Yaesu G-800 control cable "assembly"
I have a rotator I'm letting MLDXCC use for Field Day. The problem is that
when I got it the control cable was snipped. I understand that I need to
pull the pins from the connector and attach them to the ends of the cable,
and re-insert them into the connector blocks.
This is new to me. Any elmers that can help me through this so Field Day
goes smoothly? I need to buy new pins and cable and could use suggestions.
I suspect this is not brain surgery, but I'll be it can go wrong and I'll
bet there are some trick to make it go easy.
Where does one buy new pins (12) and control cable (6 wire #20 AWG) around
Sacramento or via the internet?
Thanks.
