If it's not "straight key" contest, then go for machine sent CW.
I work CW only with translators like cwget, dm780, fldigi or SKIMMER....
To heck with what others think ...
I do not operate casual CW, because there I do care enough not to
"intrude"... but sending would still be machine... it's much cleaner
and makes it easier for the other person.
But then, I am head strong...
CW is the first digital mode so machines should be allowed :)
