[Mldxcc] Health Issues

Good morning,  I'm not sure how or what is going on.  According to all the info they have it appears that the surgeon got it all.    According to their computer charts the size of the removed tumor (7 CM) indicates that I should have a Chemo regimen just to assure that there are no microscopic bits that could begin growing again.  I had a long talk with the Oncologist about the Chemo process and it doesn't seem to be fun. If I recall correctly he said that the Chemo process would improve my long term survival odds by 7%. I'll be 76 years old next Tuesday and my internet research seems to indicate that over 5 years is considered a successful "long term survival".    They have scheduled an MRI for my brain on my birthday next week.  I do not understand the logic behind this move but I guess it's an additional check for spreading cancer.   So here is where I'm at....if the brain MRI comes up negative I am inclined to forgo putting myself through Chemo for a 7% increase in the long term survival.  I shall consider all comments (pro and con) that I receive.  I have no firm date but I know I've got about a couple of weeks to make a decision.
