Hi Bob,
Wow - thanks for that tip! I did what you suggested and after about ten tries - the rotor started working again.
This rotor has been up in the tower since November of 2005 and this is the first time that I have ever had an issue with it.
I'm back in business again. Woo-hoo! Now - back to VP8STI :>)

Jim - Release the brake by pushing
middle button,
attempt to rock the rotor back and forth with the 2
outer
buttons. These rotors are known to have them get
hung up with the
brake, Mine acts ovvassionally, that is how I get it
released....................Bob,,, K6NV

This morning - my CDE HAM IV rotor stuck at 30
degrees and won't move in either direction. I opened up
the Owner's Manual and ran all of the voltage and
resistance checks and everything checks out OK. Any ideas on
what to do next would be appreciated.
To make matters worse - I can't lower the tower when it
is at 30 degrees because the 40 meter rotable will get hung
up in my neighbor's big Oak tree.
Ideas?
Thanks,
Jim -WX6V-
