I used to always stay at the Civic Center Marriott when the convention was at the Holiday Inn; it was quieter and nicer.
Now it's not worth the price so I stay at the Hampton Inn.
This past convention I spent a few nights at the Navy Lodge over at NAS Lemoore, $61.00 no taxes, nice place.  I was in the area on business.  A bit of a drive to Visalia though.
