Note that this message is almost 4 years old!
To my knowledge, they must be ISA cards. I dont know anyone that's gotten
the PCI Soundblasters to work properly and Brian told me fairly recently
it's due to a DOS driver problem with the PCI version cards..

Cards that are "Sound Blaster compatible" often exhibit only 8-bit
compatibility. That is, they may not implement the many 16-bit I/O

first test a "compatible" sound card with the software you intend to run
before buying it.
Due to heavy promotion of the new Creative Labs AWE64 sound card (that's

musical voices, still just 16 bits), new Creative Labs Sound Blaster 16
Value Edition sound cards are being dumped by dealers for less than $50.
They are available new at ham flea markets for under $30. Using one of
these cards eliminates all compatibility issues (get the PnP version for
use
in Win95). These cards provide all the functions needed by any ham radio
sound-card program I know of.

Regarding sound cards, it's pretty picky. The only guaranteed cards that
work are ISA cards with the Creative Labs chips (Soundblasters mostly).
Other are a crap shoot.
However, if you can get it going, it is the best and NA has some custom
features for using RITTY Autotune AFSK.

I have been unable to find where to get it and how much it is.
Also, anyone using this setup, please let me know what sound
cards work the best with it or which ones would work well.
