Just talked to Tim, who is on the way back from Himos. Once everyone
arrives, they will gather up their stuff and head to their newly assigned
host stations. Although all host stations and ref assignments are complete,
callsigns will not be known until just before the start. The contest starts
at 3pm local time in Finland, so they will have less than 24 hours to get
everything set up and checked out.
>From what I understand Ron has been assigned as the ref for one of the
French teams.
Tim and Pat will probably not return to the hotel until the contest is over
Sunday afternoon.
Make sure you try to get on and work the OJ stations. They can all use our
support.
N0AX has been writing a blurb each day and posting it on the WRTC site under
the daily update section. These sections do get added to so check them out
occasionally and see if there is an update.
This will probably be the last update until sometime Sunday or early Monday.
Enjoy the contest.
